Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis .

All GM vehicles first launch at Pre-Production Operations (PPO). Our team members are the first to integrate new innovations including: cutting edge propulsion systems, new body joining technologies, advanced electrical architectures… the sky is the limit. As a Pre-Production Operations Scheduler you will be responsible for

  • Planning, conducting, and evaluating work tasks

  • Monitors assigned programs for appropriate change management tasks for short term and long-term forecast

  • Ability to create schedule scenarios for review and assessment by upper management

  • Prepare, analyze, and summarize data to present in formats appropriate for the decision process (build operations capacity assessment and workload models)

  • Frequent contact with stakeholders outside the work group

  • Ability to work cross functionally

  • Must be proactive to follow-up on supplied information, for clarification / missing inputs

What You Will Do

  • Maintains and reports out on PPO Capacity workload forecasts

  • Create and maintain schedules that support the shop floors and meet customer required dates in multiple tracking platforms (EVOS, Goal Line, and Chart Files)

  • Support Vehicle Programs Schedules by participating in weekly readiness meetings, running scheduling meetings

  • Ability to provide accurate information to the program team

  • Perform and improve TIS (Task Instruction Sheets)


Additional Job Description

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of Microsoft Excel experience, ability to manipulate large data files

  • Highly proficiency in Excel ability to manipulate large data file, formulas, and macro development with accuracy

  • Ability to meet with high level leaders dealing with confidential data

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Make sure that Equivalent Vehicle report match with PPO Workload

  • Experience in a Scheduling Role

  • Ability to use Access database to run reports and manipulate data to create outputs

  • Ability to manipulate a large number of inputs to create successful schedules
