Hybrid This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Technical Center three times per week, at minimum.

The Role - Join our GPSC Strategy & Innovation team as a Logistics Data & Systems Analyst! We're seeking an experienced professional to support GM Finished Vehicles, GM Contractors, GM Suppliers & Carriers through data entry, analysis, and system sustainment of our multiple Enterprise portals.

This role requires proactive communication with internal GM Operations teams and external carriers & suppliers, directly impacting the execution of Finished Vehicle delivery planning and operational effectiveness. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Serve as an Analyst SME and/or primary point of contact for leading Finished Vehicle VIN route entry & management in our Enterprise portals, including:

    • Vehicle Transportation Information Management System (VTIMS – Supplier/Carrier Status reporting)

    • Logistics Tariff Information Management System (LTIMS – Routing Management)

  • Collaborate cross-functionally internally within GM and externally with Suppliers/Carriers to resolve daily issues, including incorrect orders/VINS, missing routings, diversions, system integrations, etc.

  • Utilize basic SQL knowledge for adhoc queries to support routing gaps and/or status reporting.

  • Participate in carrier setup and training for the VTIMS system.

  • Support carrier/site transitions through the use of systems.

  • Participate in audits as a Routing SME (SOX, internal, external).

  • Engage as a business contact in IS&S Logistics projects, including playing a key role in user acceptance testing for new systems and/or releases to current systems.

  • Be available to support after-hour urgent requests and weekend deployments with our commitment to drive work/life balance flexibility.

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 2 plus years’ experience with demonstrated Enterprise system, data management, and reporting capability

  • Automotive and/or Supply Chain Management experience

  • Understanding of the GPSC processes, procedures, and audit guidelines.

  • Demonstrated capability using Enterprise Systems.

  • High level analytical ability in situations where the problems are complex.

  • Highly proficient computer skills – MS Office Suite.

  • Ability to learn new systems, tools, and processes.

  • High level oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

  • High Analytic Capability.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge ( Preferred Qualifications)

  • Knowledge of the Global Logistics Finished Vehicle Network.

  • Knowledge of GM Finished Vehicle Logistics Enterprise Systems (VTIMS, LTIMS).

  • Knowledge of Mainframe utilities (SQL, DB2, TSO, SPUFI).

  • Knowledge of data mining via data warehouse/COGNOS Report Studio/SQL.

  • Knowledge in Analytic Tools/Power BI.
