TITLE: Customer Service Specialist
REPORTS TO: Customer Service Supervisor, Harken Safety & Rescue
BASED AT: Harken, Pewaukee, WI, USA
STATUS: 1st shift, Non-Exempt, Full-Time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer phones and respond to customer emails
- Manage and process customer orders, in a timely manner, including but not limited to: scheduling ship dates, consolidating orders and confirming payment methods. Work with Material Control to assess order needs and viability
- Provide sales quotes, order confirmations, lead times, product issues, shipping delays or backorder information to customers
- Respond to customer inquiries and feedback regarding products, services, delivery dates and pricing, forward questions to a relevant team member as necessary.
· Regularly managing release of orders and working with production on product needs and availability movement along with shipping and logistics on shipping processes
· Process and register students for training classes online and monitor payments
· Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. An associate’s degree and a minimum of two years’ experience as an office administrator preferred.
- Manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining superior attention to detail
· Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple assignments
to meet deadlines and goals despite unexpected setbacks, obstacles or time constraints
· Ability to use standard office equipment
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Publisher
· Ability to add, sub-tract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, feel or handle objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands or arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Must be able to walk or stand on concrete for up to 4 hours at a time
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and the ability to focus
