Position Purpose
Under minimal supervision the Customer Marketing Manager is responsible for developing winning retail strategies and key customer plans that generate consumer demand in-order to achieve annual performance plan. This position will develop both long-term and short-term strategic plans to meet the diverse needs of our top key National Customer Development retailers across multiple retail channels, with a primary focus of growing the Delicato Family Wines and Transcendent Wine Portfolios. This role must interface, influence, and provide input for the National Customer Development Sales, Brand Marketing, Finance and Compliance teams, and the top National Account retailers.
Essential Duties
- Develops prioritized Customer Marketing performance plans in alignment with Company goals and objectives; communicates clearly defined objectives to key sales and distributor stakeholders
- Proactively leads strategic discovery and negotiate through to production joint supplier programs with other CPG companies to develop customer specific programming that align with the accounts strategies and programming goals,
- Acting on own initiative develops, provides input and present (major markets) key Brand Marketing objectives, priorities, and programs during sales distributor joint business planning meetings
- Acts as a thought and creative inspiration leader in program ideation working directly with key retailers' digital and marketing teams
- Coordinates, leverages and tunes national programs to fit key National Account customers customer and shopper strategies, to drive consistent brand messaging and activation within the retail landscape
- Presents and pitches relevant marketing programs with key customers and follows up accordingly
- Collaborates with internal Compliance, Brand, Trade, Digital and Marketing Services Team's in-order to move Customer Marketing activation elements from ideation to execution
- Strategically plans, monitors, and ensures volume advantage by working with multiple third-party marketing vendors to maximize chain activation vehicles and offers, i.e., Vestcom, News America, Catalina, and Digital Consumer Offer platforms
- Collaborates with Consumer and Strategic Insights team to incorporate key fact-based selling insights in presentations and communication pieces, in order to align brands with the right partners and help sell in promotions to retail
- Monitors adherence to budget spends and evaluates effectiveness of trade dollar investment within retail accounts
- Leads National Account Marketing updates during Sales Customer Development calls and monthly Trade Marketing conference calls

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related degree
- M.B.A. a plus
- 5+ years' experience in marketing and/or sales
- Wine industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing brands and developing national, E-Commerce and customized marketing programs across National Accounts
- Experience with different types of brand building activities: point of sale items, events, programs and gaining retailer share of mind

- Must possess in-depth knowledge of National Account Chain marketing strategies and tactics with specific priority on key business drivers
- Must possess knowledge of the 3-tier system and customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and work in a deadline-driven environment with high expectations and standards
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and negotiation skills; experience developing presentations and presenting internally, at the distributor and in front of customers
- Strong budget management, project management, analysis, and reporting skills
- Strong vendor relationships and ability to communicate and direct creative concepts

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $100,168.56 to $156,796.08. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
