Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day operations of the sales function at all assigned accounts (accounts could vary in size).
- Accountable for current volume, planned growth and profitability goals in assigned accounts.
- Achieve assigned top line volume and profit goals.
- Proactively identify and analyze market opportunities/issues and develop effective action plan to address.
- Successfully sell-in new product offerings and/or company initiatives.
- Development of and accountability for recommended plans and execution.
- Anticipate problems and take quick action to resolve.
- Utilize market research data to identify opportunities.
- Penetrate key decision makers to understand account goals/strategies and collaborate to build their business.
- Effectively lead internal, cross-functional customer teams.
- Ability to forecast existing and new business.
- Proactively manage up via recommendations to improve business procedures, etc.
- Demonstrate a positive professional attitude with company and account personnel.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with internal cross-functional teams to develop cohesive sales strategies that maximize business opportunities.
- Track customer service issues and coordinate resolution with the appropriate individuals.
- Understand and utilize customer P&L data effectively.
- Manage OGSM’s for territory.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelors’ Degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with managing regional or national accounts at the HQ/Contact Point level
- Industry knowledge of the ingredients/industrial channel including CPG and distribution

- Excellent oral and written communication and problem solving/decision making skills.

- Ability to schedule travel/expense within budget as the position is subject to overnight travel, including some weekend travel for meetings, trade shows and conventions.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience managing customers, brokers and/or distributors in the Grocery industry.
- Ability to maintain order during times of rapid company growth
- Experience selling food products.
- Experience with selling at trade shows.
