Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Maintain cleanliness of City Facility including restrooms, kitchen, floors, walls, windows, ashtrays, dusting, carpet-cleaning, and resurfacing floors using strippers, sealers, and buffers. Collects trash from receptacles around the building and removes to designated location. Receives and completes work orders. Maintains communication with supervisors. Maintains equipment and tools to include cleaning and replacing worn parts in necessary equipment including vacuum cleaners, buffers, air conditioning filters, replace light bulbs, etc. Maintains needed supplies in a safe and efficient manner. Checks inventory and make requests through designated system to replace used supplies. Replaces supplies in necessary locations such as restrooms and kitchen. May include driving to pick up supplies. Clean patio areas by sweeping and washing with pressure washer. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Must be able to maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy.
REQUIRED: Must be at least 21 years of age. Two years' experience in janitorial services. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license. Must have excellent attendance record and the ability to exercise good judgement along with organizational skills. PREFERRED: 1-2 years of experience in stripping and waxing tiles floors with the use of floor buffers, burnishers, and various carpet cleaning machines.
