The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) provides statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.
The Bureau of Criminal Justice works with the offender to identify behavioral healthcare needs as they reintegrate back into the community, providing linkage to quality treatment and recovery supports.

Duties of the Correctional Program Coordinator include:
- At assigned correctional institution(s) , provide biopsychosocial assessments and referral services to the severe and persistent mentally ill and/or addiction clients soon to be released from a correctional facility
- Complete Social Security/Disability Applications, Assessments, and Community Referral Packets with this designated population
- Coordinating and collaborating with prison staff and community stakeholders
- Schedule is Monday-Friday with day shift hours

Qualifications
Must hold current certification or credentials in one of following:
- Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II)
- Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III)
- Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC)
- Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board.
- Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board.
- Professional Counselor (PC) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board.
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board.
- Licensed Physician by State of Ohio Medical Board.
- Licensed Psychologist by State of Ohio Board of Psychology.
- Registered Nurse by Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
