Engagement Coordinator

ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR -FT 40 HOURS

PAY RANGE: $17.50-$23.00 (dependent upon qualifications)

Essential Duties:

• Coordinates volunteers for LCAP activities and events including background checks, recruitment, training, and supervision.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with organizations in the community to track engagement needs.
• Maintains volunteer appreciation and recognition programs.
• Monitors programs run by volunteers.
• Contributing to a team effort of creating and seeking new, diverse opportunities to meet the interest of aging individuals in Licking County.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate records of attendance of volunteer hours.
• Responsible for compiling certain monthly reports.
• Assist with administrative duties.
• Contribute to a positive and relaxed social environment while always maintaining professional conduct.
• Perform other related duties as needed or as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma with minimum three years experience in social services; volunteer service experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, comprehend, and write in a professional manner, as well as group facilitation and presentations
• Strong ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of clients, volunteers, coworkers, human service professionals and organizations, as well as navigate group dynamics
• Strong project management and ability to meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to promote a positive work culture within the organization; project a positive image of the organization in the community and to routinely interact with the general public
• Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug-screening
