$150,000 potential
Responsibilities:- Conduct complex legal research and extensive due diligence
- Give legal advice to clients on corporate governance, policies, procedures, finances, intellectual property, employment, operations, and regulatory issues, and guide them towards best practices in corporate law regulation compliance
- Provide legal counsel during legal proceedings, administrative board reviews, and litigations when necessary
- Manage outside lawyers hired to assist in case resolution, paralegals, and support staff
- Analyze the legal risk and legal rights of various company structures, and make recommendations for corporation, joint venture, limited partnership, and limited liability company options
- Requires 3-5 years of experience as a staff attorney or associate attorney for a corporate law firm, an in-house counsel for a corporation, or as a corporate lawyer
- Licensed to practice law and member in good standing of the state bar association
- In-depth transactional knowledge and understanding of corporate law, tax law, and securities law is necessary
- Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Proficient with computers, especially MS Office and Google Suite
