Our Boards position is an entry level – unique position that is incomparable to any other kitchen position. Here at City Barbeque we will train you to have excellent knife skills and knowledge of quality smoked meats to prepare the ultimate eating experience for our guests.

We are looking for individuals who:

• Provide great backyard hospitality for guests
• Work in a fast and independent manner
• Can cross-train and work multiple stations
• Consistently follow proper recipes and procedures
• Maintain our high standards for food preparation and sanitation
• Contribute to the team by taking initiative and will pitch-in to help others

To promote good teamwork, daily tasks include:

• Arrive on time for each shift and practice proper time reporting (punch in and out accurately)
• Complete hot and cold food prep assignments by following recipes accurately, neatly and according to sanitation guidelines
• Work in collaboration to prepare take out and catering orders in a timely fashion
• Monitor food levels on the line and communicate with prep/pit cooks appropriately
• Follow station checklists and cleaning lists consistently and thoroughly
• Provide a positive attitude when interacting with teammates and guests

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry items that weigh up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
• Will frequently reach, bend, stoop, and carry
• Must be able to exert well-paced and frequent mobility for long periods of time
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
