Role: Controls Engineer

Location: Lakewood, CO (Remote) with 75%travel

Job type: Full Time/Permanent

Job Description:

· will be working directly under the Technical Manager

· will be preparing or reviewing PLC programs and HMI screens in the office. The ideal candidate will also have experience with the following:

· Allan Bradley PLC

· Siemens PLC

· Fanuc Robots experience would be a plus but is not required.

· will be preparing and reviewing electrical drawings with Autocad Electrical

· will be mainly going to job sites (consider 75% travel) to:

· supervise installation and wiring of automated equipment

· commission equipment and their associated programs

· train operators will be the main interface with customer:

· for after sales service with remote or on site assistance

· for site surveys

· to supervise and organize performance acceptance tests of machines

Qualifications :

The successful candidate must meet at least the following criteria:

· Control and Electrical engineering background, 3 to 5 years of experience

· Know how to program with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs

· Ideally have some FANUC robot programming knowledge

· Have a curious mind and be interested in all aspects of an automated handing system (robots, controls, mechanical, functionality, electrical).

· Have the knowledge to read, design or improve electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.

The candidate will also be expected to:

· Make clear reports to project manager and communicate effectively with customers and contractors as coordination of efforts on site is always key

· Analyze problems and either solve them or drive the solution finding process, whether mechanical or electrical

· Enforce safety regulations on site and make sure equipment is safe to operate.

· Supervise and train on site customer operators

· Work in an international environment and travel domestically and internationally 50 to 75% travel to consider.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70.00 - $120.00 per year

Experience:
