The qualified engineer will be responsible for oversight of 3-D printing and NC Machining operations to support R&D, as well as production. A secondary responsibility will be to support the engineering team with mechanical design tasks.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Modeling and analysis of mechanical assemblies and components
- Perform basic mechanical and systems engineering functions independently, with more complex engineering tasks performed under supervision.
- Mechanical assembly/component design, prototyping, testing, and implementation using 3D modeling combined with FDM and SLS 3D printing.
- Preparation of engineering documentation, including specifications, detailed design memoranda, test protocols, test reports and technical procedures
- Preparation of system-level and component drawings/schematics
- Maintain communication with suppliers, contractors and clients.
- Technical consultation in relation to existing product line problem investigation and ongoing product improvement
- Completion of all assignments efficiently and accurately with a high degree of technical competence
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Proficient with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, and independently
- Ability to generate and maintain accurate machine drawing documentation for manufacturing of complex mechanical components.
- Experience with 3D Printer/Prototyping FDM & SLS a plus.
- Experience with 3-Axis NC Machining (Haas MiniMill or similar) a plus.
- Familiar with 3D Printing SW (eg: Magics, Insight, Object Studio) a plus.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
