Clayton Engineered Solutions a division of Clayton Controls Inc. is an ISO 9001 globally certified Control Panel Design and Fabrication company located in Placentia, CA. We specialize in build to print projects that are shipped worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill a Designer/Drafter position to work with our team of engineers. Must have excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks, a positive attitude, great organizational skills and the ability to communicate with others. Strong background in design of Industrial Control Panels built to the UL508A Standard is preferred.

Functions and Responsibilities:

· Further the sales process by reviewing customer related design projects and assisting with creating and or refining the design, Bills of Material, and other project related documentation.

· Assist with creation of basic 3D model in Solidworks as a basis for future customer discussions on design and layout.

· Development of Control Panel Layouts, BOM, and Schematics in conjunction with Project Engineers.

· Create fabrication drawings which include general arrangements and detail drawings for miscellaneous components.

· Work closely and coordinate effectively with engineering staff and shop fabrication teams during the development and fabrication phases of a project.

Education and Experience:

· B.S. Degree (Electrical or Mechanical).

· Prior industrial drafting work experience is preferred.

· Design background in Industrial Control Panels built to the UL508A Standard is preferred.

· Minimum of two- years experience with AutoCAD. (Release 2020 and above)

· Minimum of two-years experience with SolidWorks. (Release 2020 and above)

Skills And Abilities:

· Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD

· Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints and schematics.

· Ability to solve practical problems, maintain accuracy, quality, and completeness while carrying out responsibilities under minimal supervision.

· Must have good communication skills.

· Must have good people skills and should work well with the project team and others.

· Must be self-motivated and willing to take control of a project.

· Must have a professional attitude and a willingness to learn.

· Must be good at time management.
