About the job The Contract Manager plays a critical role in globally supporting the contract lifecycle of a wide variety of commercial agreements. Our Brightly legal team is committed to supporting a best-in-class experience. We play an important role in protecting Brightly's intellectual property and help manage Brightly's enterprise risk. What you'll be doing Contracts are an essential part of any business and contract management is the critical component of overseeing all elements of Brightly's contract functions. The role of Contract Manager will include, but not be limited to: Contract Lifecycle: Manage the contract lifecycle process from intake to execution, including drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements, including master subscription agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, nondisclosure agreements, and data privacy agreements.

Coordination: Act as a principle point of contact with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Client Services, Product, Technology, and Cybersecurity; and external stakeholders such as subscribers and other customers, group purchasing organizations, and third-party business partners regarding all contracting matters. Communication: Display an ability to understand and address the concerns and motivations of each stakeholder to reach amicable decisions in the interest of all parties; advise and educate internal partners on legal processes and provide ongoing guidance and coordination throughout contract lifecycle. Compliance: Understand and support the business's compliance with applicable laws and regulations, internal controls, and applicable data privacy requirements by identifying contract requirements, changing situations or crises, and identifying any necessary amendments or clarifications to contract requirements; Record Management: Maintain and manage contracts and agreements in Brightly's CLM tool and electronic databases; Risk Management: Ensure proper assessment of all third-party relationships, including customers, vendors, and partners, to support fair and accurate contracts while avoiding disproportionate liability and costly legal disputes.

What you need This job requires a bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in business law or business administration or a JD, LLM or similar professional degree. Prior experience negotiating and contracting with group purchasing organizations and public sector/government/quasi-government clients sufficient to understand that market's regulatory requirements and vendor expectations. Must have 3-5 years of relevant legal experience in drafting contracts, contract lifecycle management software tools and automation.

Prior experience software-as-a-service or cloud service contract negotiation and management is preferred. Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills (preferably in the public sector). Contract management experience, excellent negotiation skills, working with legal and sales teams and management experience.

The pay range for this position is $59,400 - $101,900. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
