Position Summary
A leading global supply chain management company of agriculture commodities for feed and fiber is seeking a self-motivated individual for a position on our Finance team located in Richardson, Texas. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. This role will report to the Vice President of Finance.
The Assistant Controller will use their accounting expertise to assure accuracy and analysis of Olam Agri’s financial statements. This position will manage monthly reports, year-end close, external and internal audits, review work performed by shared services team, and coordinate with external consultants on tax compliance and other projects.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation of sub-ledgers and general ledgers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with the purchasing and sales review processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of recorded transactions.
- Review business processes for better control.
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing and supporting business transactions in compliance with IFRS.
- Work closely with the operations team, proving meaningful insight and analysis of key drivers’ performance.
- Support internal and external audit processes and requests for information.
- Manage and coordinate the corporate reporting requirements.
- Perform Fair Value and derivatives accounting support for weekly reporting.
- Support and overview accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) work performed by shared services team.
- Coordinate tax filings with tax consultants.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience streamlining and automating accounting activities.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to build relationships and work well in a team.
- Prior SAP experience is preferred.
- Able to efficiently balance recurring activities and with ongoing projects and ad hoc requests.
- Must be able to work with a diverse team across many geographies.

- Minimum of ten (10) years of accounting or financial reporting role experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
