Tapas Entertainment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Content Operations Intern to join our team! In this role, you'll be learning how premium content follows professional guidelines and project management principles. You will assist our Content Ops and Localization team with coordinating projects and sharing information across departments. The ideal candidate is an avid reader of Tapas content, or webcomics and webnovels in general, and possesses strong multitasking and communication skills. This role will report to the Sr. Manager of Content Ops and Localization. The internship will require approx. 25-30 hours per week and will be a hybrid role working from our El Segundo office as needed.
*This is a 6-month paid internship that begins in the Summer of 2023.
Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally with other teams, and help the Content Ops team determine season return and finale dates for ongoing titles (webcomics and webnovels).
- Review webcomic series to ensure adherence to content guidelines.
- Edit and organize documents, including updating guides, and creating presentation slides.
- Upload series to our content management system and perform file-checking duties.
- Write short-form content, such as series summaries and taglines.
- Assist with various small projects, such as tracking the lifecycle of our premium titles and the performance of new series.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or a related field; recent graduate or graduating senior preferred
- Passionate about webcomics, particularly Korean and Chinese webcomics
- Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Google Suite - Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Familiarity with Slack, Monday.com, Basecamp preferred; CMS is a plus
- Familiarity with Photoshop and Dropbox preferred
- Bilingual in Korean strongly preferred
$15.50 - $15.50 an hour
