Social Media Content Creator

Do you love fashion and keeping up with the latest style trends? In this role, you will plan, develop and manage engaging content for all of our Social Media accounts.

The majority of your time will involve selecting trendy teen/young adult outfits to photograph and highlight on our Social Media accounts. In addition, you will be creating engaging videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels that showcase our unique Resale Clothing Store concept (sustainable fashion, recycled fashion, value pricing, cash for gently used clothing). This is a part-time position (10-15 hrs/week).

What does a day in the life of a Social Media Manager for Plato's Closet look like?

• Planning and developing Social Media posts to promote our in-store events.
• Highlighting all of the amazing inventory we have by photographing/editing flay lay photos.
• Creating, editing and publishing in-store videos and highlights for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Crafting creative captions to engage followers.
• Posting daily content across Social Media accounts.
• Engaging with customers and followers who want to place items on hold or have questions about our buying/selling process.
• Analyzing insights to monitor engagement.
• Following the latest teen/young adult fashion trends to create engaging content.
• Collaborate with Owner and Team to develop goals, maintain brand image, create a monthly marketing schedule & monitor engagement.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• 1+ years experience as a Social Media Content Creator or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of how to use Hootsuite, Canva, TikTok, Instagram Reels and Instagram stories.
• Ability to plan, communicate and execute events.
• Experience with photography and photo editing software.
• Capable of analyzing data provided by Instagram to monitor engagement and make adjustments to content as needed.

About the Position

• Flexible Schedule- Scheduled shifts will be assigned a week in advance based on the staff members availability.
• Hybrid Position- (80% of time will be spent at the store creating the content 20% of time can be spent offsite to edit, plan and post)

Minimum Daily Content Requirements:

• 3 Flay lay posts highlighting our top brands.
• 1 Post Marketing our daily message: Clearance, Most Wanted Items, Buy Process, Cash on the Spot, Sustainability, New Product hitting the floor etc.
• 1 Story Marketing our Daily Message

Minimum Weekly Content Requirements:

• 3 unique TikTok/Reel Videos that are informational, trendy, humor, most wanted etc

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.29 - $19.29 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
