Position Title: Construction Control Manager
Location: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually based on experience.

This role is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage surveillance of difficult and complex construction projects.
- Gather information to compile into written reports and perform related duties.
- Perform duties as a technical consultant to the contracting office and 355 CES engineering flight.
- Organize and attend weekly construction meetings.
- Gather information to compile into written inspection reports and performs related duties.
- Reviews contractor's cost breakdowns, progress measurement data, reports of material and equipment used, and field inspection and survey reports in order to compute periodic payments.
- Obtains samples from work site and forwards for laboratory testing and analysis when deemed necessary.
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management with at least 5 years of work experience as a construction project manager or possess a high school diploma and a minimum of 10 years' experience as a Project Manager/Construction Inspector.
- Knowledge of the fundamental engineering principles, concepts and practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable building codes, estimating, design and technical writing.
- Written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of software including Microsoft Office applications, TRIRIGA/NEXGEN IT (desired), and E-Gordian/e4Clicks (desired), AutoCAD/Revit (desired)
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Qualified applicant must be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
- OPSEC training to be completed within 90 days of assignment.
Project/Position Overview:
Providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services for all customers and tenants on Davis-Monthan AFB (DMAFB), AZ. The services required include providing installation engineer technical assistance (requirement planning, development, execution) in supporting DM AFB.
There will be engineering support for Facilities Sustainment Restoration & Modernization, decentralized Facilities Sustainment Restoration & Modernization, and Military Construction Project Development, Project Planning & Program Development, Installation Asset Management, and the Planning & Execution of In-House Facilities Projects. The following functional areas will be provided:
- Engineering Program Planning & Development
- Engineering Project Development
- Requirements & Optimization Planning, Execution, and Data Management
Contracts may be for the construction or renovation of large, complex, or difficult projects such as renovation of multi-unit family housing projects; repair of underground electrical distribution systems; and construction of administrative office buildings, hospitals, aircraft maintenance and support facilities, or multi-story computer facilities. The Construction Control Manager approves changes to the plans which do not alter basic design or involve additional cost to the government. Coordinates with the contracting officer to correct contract deficiencies, unacceptable material, or work performed to ensure compliance. Reviews contractor's cost breakdowns, progress measurement data, reports of material and equipment used, and field inspection and survey reports in order to compute periodic payments.
