As a Production Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing these departments, working closely with a dedicated team, and contributing to the success of our organization.
Essential Functions
- Strategic Oversight: Manage both AGM and Ascension Production Departments, collaborating with planners and supervisors to schedule production jobs and ensure on-time shipments.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and implement enhancements to improve production workflow and efficiencies, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
- Client Satisfaction: Be the driving force behind on-time shipments to Prime Contractors such as Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Defense Logistics Agency, Northrop Grumman, etc.
- Problem Resolution: Analyze and resolve production-related problems, collaborating with Engineering to address performance and quality issues.
- Collaboration and Communication: Effectively communicate production concerns, problems, and personnel issues with the Operations Manager, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Team Development: Work with Production Supervisors on disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and contribute to employee development.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to ISO and AS9100 procedures, maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with international standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise the Production Department, including interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating employee performance and conducting performance management activities.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: A minimum of an Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical and reasoning abilities, with the capability to interpret various instructions and make informed decisions
- Computer Skills: Proficient in computer applications and technology relevant to production management
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, appraise performance, reward achievements, and address issues effectively.
Work Environment
- Physical Demands: Must be comfortable with sitting, standing, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Work Environment: Work around moving mechanical parts, machines, and be familiar with proper procedures for handling chemicals.
- Noise Level: Moderate to loud.
