Physical Requirements:Lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to and over 50 lbs.; Walking or standing with objects up to 25 lbs.; Exposure to extreme temperatures and cuts/punctures. Risk of injuries from use of equipment, moving or lifting equipment/materials. Risk of working at heights above 4 feet occasionally.
Shift:Monday through Friday, (40hrs/wk.).
Job Summary:Reporting to the Associate Dean for Finance, Administration, and Operations, the Director of Facilities provides leadership for UK Libraries facilities. This position is responsible for effectively managing the maintenance and operations of UK Libraires facilities, facility renovations and special projects, as well as facilities policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for managing the library facility renovation projects and those associated budgets. In addition, this individual directly supervises three full-time facilities staff.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:Prefer direct supervision and management experience. Valid Driver’s License preferred.
