Job Summary

Preeminent is seeking a Compliance Officer to join our team. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with Government Clients while ensuring the delivery of quality services. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in understanding client needs, addressing concerns, and driving initiatives to improve overall client satisfaction. In addition, you will supervise a team of security officers, responsible for securing Government buildings and facilities. The candidate must have an active Armed Security License. Experience working union contracts is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with government clients to understand needs, concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage schedule for security officers including managing overtime and maintaining a staffing contingency plan.
  • Manages supervisors and officers as assigned.
  • Aid in policy and procedure improvement process.
  • Leads research and prepares reports related to security programs and projects.
  • Assist in the management of budgets by actively monitoring and maintaining personnel, equipment, and operating expenditures within established limits.
  • Schedule training to ensure officers meet contract requirements.
  • Ensure Supervisors and Officers provide excellent customer service. Maintain excellent working relationships with all agency representatives, including CO, COTR, etc.
  • Promote a positive work environment and keep staff morale high.
  • Responsible for performance appraisals in conjunction with Team Leads.
  • Manage company equipment and maintain equipment inventory.
  • Ensure contract modifications are executed in a timely manner.
  • Manage time charging activities and coordinate with Payroll in Washington DC.
  • Manage OT and the overall P&L for the contract.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures governing the contract, including all HR related policies.
  • Enforce client and/or governing agency security rules and regulations.
  • Take appropriate disciplinary action on employees.
  • Compiles weekly site reports to be forwarded to Corporate Headquarters.
  • Responsible for conducting weekly meetings with the Quality Control Manager for guidance and contract compliance.
  • Prepare investigative reports on all thefts and security related matters.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Shall possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in law enforcement, security, or a combination of experience with a minimum of two (2) years as a senior program manager.
  • Shall possess a high school diploma, an academic degree, BS/BA in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security Management, or related field.
  • Must have an active Armed Security License.
  • Two (2) years’ relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education. Experience substituted to meet the educational requirements may not be used to meet the minimum number of required years of experience.
  • Shall demonstrate the capability to maintain an efficient work force while supporting the company’s security objectives.
  • Shall be able to communicate in English, demonstrate proficiency with a computer and basic applications including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possess a working knowledge of security procedures,
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Internet and E-mail.
  • Must be capable of drafting detailed written reports and completing form requests.
  • Have flexibility to cover all shifts and weekends.
