The Position:

As the Compensation and Benefits Analyst, you will meaningfully contribute to the Total Rewards team by effectively supporting the execution of our compensation program and managing the administration of our benefits programs. This position will report to the Sr Director, Total Rewards. We are open to this position located in our San Diego office or remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Compensation

  • Support the management and delivery of the global annual compensation processes.
  • Manage survey participation and assist with benchmarking practices.
  • Conduct job evaluations, evaluate market positioning, and assist with maintaining salary structures to ensure alignment with Veracyte's overall compensation strategy.
  • Participate in various complex compensation projects to ensure Veracyte's ability to effectively attract, retain and reward employees.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders including HR, Finance, Accounting, and Payroll.
  • Develop and produce regular and ad-hoc compensation reports and analyses.
  • Support annual compliance reviews and reporting, including OFCCP reporting.
  • Maintain current knowledge of compensation trends and regulations. Make recommendations for needed changes to existing programs, policies, and procedures.

Benefits

  • Administration and compliance for benefit programs including health, life, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Primary contact with brokers and plan providers to ensure efficient administration of benefit plans.
  • Research, analyze and recommend new benefit program for company to remain competitive and manage costs.
  • Manage Open Enrollment system set-up and communication.
  • Understand, interpret, and effectively communicate benefit plan provisions, policies, programs, process, and practice as the escalation point.
  • Ensures the organizations' and plans' compliance with the applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA, ACA, FMLA, etc.

Who You Are:

  • Hold a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field with 5+ years of related work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a compensation analyst.
  • Experience administering benefits programs preferred – desire to learn a must!
  • Knowledge of compensation practices, benchmarking, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytic and Excel skills is a must.
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, visualize, and draw conclusions from complex data sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with customers/clients.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing / new business requirements.
