The Analyst The responsibilities are of a professional level, and require understanding of both compensation theory and practice.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct job analysis, evaluation and salary administration to ensure appropriate salary grades, ranges, and pricing based on internal and external equity.
- Work closely with HRBPs, Compensation, HRIS and Talent Acquisition teams on proposals for new hire offers, promotions, and market adjustments.
- Participates in a variety of Compensation related analytical projects including the year-end compensation cycle.
- Support ad-hoc projects and develop reporting from the current HRIS system (UltiPro).
- Review and proactively provide the analysis of market trend and recommendations for any changes in our structure or individual adjustments based on the data.
- Help manage company Non-Qualified Retirement Service plans and Long Term Incentive plans
- Review market salary survey data to determine appropriate benchmarks and market pay ranges for new job profiles.
- Audit employee pay/records and recommend reviews, if necessary.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures; recommend and update internal guidelines and procedures, as necessary.
- Provide analytical and administrative support in the implementation of compensation projects, systems, and initiatives.
- Serve as a knowledgeable compensation resource for client partners at corporate and in the field.

- Performs activities to develop, implement, and administer compensation policies and programs.
- Analyze competitive salary information to determine company’s competitive position in the retail sector.
- Prepares special studies and recommendations on employee compensation.
- Examine proposed salary adjustments for conformance with established guidelines, policies, and practices.
- Recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation related issues.
- Develops SOPs for the review of job classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignments.
- Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure.
- Leads projects / initiatives to develop new compensation programs, structures, etc.
- Work with all levels of employees across all locations and vendors for the various programs
- Responsible for maintaining security of highly confidential data.
- Provide assistance and support on assignments and/or problems as needed.
- Manages YE compensation process
- Answers day-to-day employee inquiries concerning compensation and NQDC program.
- Manages the annual process including annual and midyear merit increase cycle.
- Prepares appropriate dashboards to communicate to leadership.
- Supports all administrative duties related to the Compensation and RSP programs at HFT.

Requirements
Education (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources Management or equivalent experience; CCP a plus.
- Knowledge of compensation principals, programs, practices.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel (Pivot Table and V-Look ups) and PowerPoint required. Strong technical knowledge of excel including formulas and functions.
- Must be detail oriented with strong analytical skills and be able to present analytical data in an easily understandable format.
- Advanced personal computer skills in databases, spreadsheet and word processing software
- Detail oriented and skillful at data manipulation.
- Experience with UltiPro is preferred.
Experience (Required)
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a compensation role.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information with high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced changing environment and be able to use independent judgment for decisions that may not be straightforward.
- Excellent interpersonal and organization skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate/present, both in writing and verbally.
