SUMMARY
The Community Relations Coordinator will work in partnership with CII’s program teams and collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders to support CII’s north star. Provides administrative and organizational support to the Community Relations team to improve relationships with local residents, families and business partners across CII’s service regions. The Community Relations Coordinator serves as an ambassador to promote and advance CII's north star and key business strategies across all audiences externally as well as internally with our program staff and partner organizations.

- Point of contact for community stakeholders in relation to reservations; works closely with front desk staff to ensure timely processing of reservations; responds to inquiries from community members and other interested stakeholders in relation to CII hub site reservations.
- Respond to reservation requests from internal and external stakeholders and communicate information related to the organization’s services, resources, opportunities, and initiatives to current and potential partners.
- Partners with CII’s Events Team to provide support to external stakeholders hosting meetings & and events at CII’s hub sites.
- In collaboration with the Community Relations Manager and Specialists, prepares and issues materials in relation to meetings, programs/events to external and internal stakeholders.
- Supports the Community Relations Manager and Specialists in planning, coordinating, and executing special programming/events.
- Supports the Community Relations team with scheduling, note-taking, and follow-up with meeting/program/event participants.
- Participates in community outreach events including resource fairs, city-wide initiatives, partner agency activities in collaboration with other department staff, and research opportunities for other community outreach.
- Maintains the Outlook external event calendar for CII locations (Echo Park, Watts, and Long Beach) campus reservations.
- Prepares routine correspondence, forms, and similar items, performs data entry and prepares and distributes routine reports and supports preparation of presentations as applicable.
- Maintains organized recordkeeping of agendas, sign-in sheets, meeting minutes, and presentations.
- Manages calendars, and schedules for the Community Relations team and supervisor appointments as directed; updates calendar and ensures appropriate parties are informed.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One year of administrative/clerical experience.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.
- May require some travel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Spanish / English bilingual preferred.
- Strong data entry and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate projects.
- Ability to work with others towards a common goal.
- Ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information and establish and manage files, records, and official documents.
- Maintains patient privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities.
- Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

COMPENSATION:
- Hourly hire rate: $21.32
- In accordance with CA law, the expected pay range for this CA position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
