FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Starting Rate: $19 per hour
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Provide/Facilitate community education/prevention opportunities, outreach, training, and engagement activities for the Child Advocacy Center and BestSelf Behavioral Health.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides training on the Enough Abuse Campaign, Less Is More, and other approved training curriculum's
Is a Master Trainer of approved trainings and provides ongoing training to new staff/volunteers as needed
Participates in community coalitions/committees on behalf of the CAC/BBH
Attends Community Outreach events and activities to promote awareness/engagement to the public on all BestSelf programs.
As requested, in conjunction with Marketing personnel, develops brochures, flyers, and other materials for events and prevention/outreach efforts to promote education/prevention opportunities and events.
Assists with volunteer development and recognition activities.
Assists with Child Abuse and other Awareness Month events and activities
Schedule and assigned duties are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the clients we serve.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Reliable transportation as community work is primary duty
Flexibility in scheduling as work requires some evening and weekend hours
Experience with racial equity and inclusion efforts
Ability to work in high stress environment and in independent manner.
Computer knowledge and technical capacity to develop and maintain databases necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
A minimum of three years experience in education, social work or related field preferred.
Experience with websites preferred.
Knowledge of Child Advocacy Center model and child abuse issues preferred.
