Position Title: Comminications and Content Specialist
Reports to: Manager, Content Development
Salary grade: N
- Producing impactful written content
- Content and copy editing of the specialists’ own work as well as the work of colleagues and vendors for accuracy, grammar, impact and quality
- Interpreting service requests to understand project requirement
- Providing copy and caption support to Marketing for social media and marketing assets
- Strategizing compelling stories that correspond with marketing initiatives and agency strategic goals
- Collaborating with Marketing and Multimedia team members to develop and execute innovative methods to promote the agency, engage the public, and elevate the AH brand
- Understanding key values, goals and targets of the organization and familiarizing oneself with affordable housing history, the current landscape and projections, key housing stakeholders, and governmental entities
- Assisting with AH executive and COA talking points for speeches and presentations
- Elevating internal communications through content development for all-staff emails, monitor movies, intranet, and other initiatives
- Connecting and informing residents and stakeholders to the work of Atlanta Housing by providing written copy for newsletters, emails, invitations, corporate website, video/film, and other initiatives
- Meticulous spelling, grammar, oral and written conventions, and word choice for AP Style technical and creative writing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and a working knowledge of creative applications such as Canva and Adobe programs
- 5+ samples of work
- Ability to work collaboratively, think innovatively, and be solution oriente.

Education and Experience:
- B.A. in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- 3+ years of communications, marketing, and public engagement experience with a demonstrable body of work
Working Conditions:
Works in an office environment. May require frequent bending, stooping, reaching and prolonged sitting and/or standing. May occasionally require work at AH project site to support events and community engagement. May require regular lifting usually not exceeding 15 lbs. May be required to have a valid State of Georgia driver's license and be fully insurable for the purpose of obtaining clearance on company "Authorized Drivers List".
