POSITION SUMMARY

The Commercial Real Estate Analyst is a key member to our commercial Real Estate team in the Raleigh area responsible for analyzing markets, financials, properties, leases, in order to assist the brokerage and management of clients’ portfolios. This professional represents The Overton Group. As such, they should maintain the highest level of standards and conduct that reflect The Overton Group values. This is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Vice President/Advisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, and enhance cash flow/financial models, ensuring accuracy and relevance in decision-making processes. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations based on model outcomes.
• Generate marketing reports for clients.
• Originate new and renewal lease analyses for existing properties, meticulously assessing their impact on existing properties.
• Perform various portfolio- and property-level analyses, including nuanced hold/sell evaluations for current assets to optimize investment strategies. Provide strategic recommendations based on thorough financial analysis and market insights.
• Assist in all aspects of property level acquisitions and dispositions and related due diligence efforts.
• Conduct in-depth research within target investment markets, leveraging sophisticated supply/demand models and macro/micro economic forecasting to anticipate trends and opportunities.
• Synthesize complex data sets into actionable insights to inform investment decisions.
• Collaborate with brokers and clients to facilitate effective communication and alignment of investment objectives. Cultivate strong relationships with brokers, lenders, and other industry professionals to stay abreast of market trends and opportunities.
  

REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Strong analytical mindset, excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, ability to multitask
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field
• Robust understanding of the commercial Real Estate market or exhibit a strong desire to grow and learn the Real Estate investment business.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word; proficient with Adobe InDesign
• Propensity toward organization and attention to details
• Ability to work independently as well as function a part of a team
• Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and continue personal & professional growth
