- Independently and closely with the Charter Schools Lending Manager, implement strategic
projects to support charter school lending - Conduct market research and data analysis to inform lending products and trends
- Maintain charter school lending data and submit required grant reports
- Assist with funding proposals and monitor grant compliance
- Develop presentations and materials to promote Lending Programs
- Facilitate periodic internal training sessions on the charter school sector
- Represent Self-Help at community/school meetings with stakeholders to promote loan products
- Conduct initial vetting and evaluation of loan requests from prospective borrowers
- Create loan term sheets and facilitate negotiation of terms
- Serve as a key point of contact for borrowers/potential borrowers throughout the screening
process - Support Commercial Loan Officers with market, political and academic data
- Lead cross-departmental collaborations on Charter School initiatives
- Manage communications and website updates related to Charter School lending
- Perform other duties as necessary
WHAT You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in education, community development, or finance
- Commitment to Self-Help's mission and core values

- Strong quantitative aptitude and ability to:
- Analyze financial statements
- Assess risk and make recommendations
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong internal/external relationship
- Ability to present information in one-on-one setting and to groups

- Resourceful self-starter with good judgment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforce
- Able and willing to travel for work including cross-country
Compensation:
Competitive nonprofit compensation, based on experience, plus a generous benefits package. Salary range for Fresno, CA: $62,700-$94,100.
