Perform a variety of routine verification duties that include reviewing pallets, printing lables and ensuring accuracy for each.
Day-to-Day Role:
- Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
- Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards
- Follow and commit to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Answer telephones, screen calls, and forward messages
- Open, sort, and route mail to the appropriate parties
- Collect information, prepare, generate and distribute standard reports and other documents
- Compile minor statistical data, make and check routine calculations, proof-read, complete forms and check for accuracy.
- Scan, index, file and maintain documents and records
- Assist in problem resolution to determine cause and make corrections
- Support departmental project work
- May pay and reconcile invoices
- Assist with making appointments and meeting arrangements, and coordinating activities between departments and outside vendors as needed
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
- Six (6) months of general office or related experience
- Reading, writing, mathematical, and communicative skills equivalent to those obtained in high school or commensurate experience.
- Experience using computers to enter data and type proficiently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying without interrupting, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate
- Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate processes demonstrated and other workplace procedures
- Microsoft Word skills to include the ability to open, close, create, edit and save documents
- Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to open, close, edit (e.g. cut, paste, insert and delete rows) and save spreadsheets
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
