We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Claim Specialist to join our team in South Miami. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our practice by managing the claims collection process for our orthopedic surgeon.
Responsibilities:
- Process and submit insurance claims for patient services
- Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any issues with insurance companies
- Communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely claim processing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activity
- Stay informed about current regulations and coding practices related to medical claims
- Assist with other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical claims processing or a related field
- Strong understanding of medical billing and coding principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Previous experience in claims collections preferred
