Summary-Must have Xactimate software experience
The Claims Specialist Estimator is the first/entry level in our estimating track. This position will be responsible for creating and managing estimates, ordering roof measurements in the residential and commercial lines of business. This position will be responsible for developing quality and competitive estimates using Xactimate software, review budgets and communicate progress with management, sales representative and customers. Estimators will review documents to ensure completion of required HD Roofing standards. Qualified candidate will achieve the appropriate level Estimator title and position.
Duties
- Must maintain data clienteles in position to homeowner refer losses. Clienteles is primarily homeowners but may also include community business owners, schools and municipalities.
- Serve as primary contact with Insurance adjusters, consultants, and homeowners.
- Scope development, negotiation and agreements with adjusters and customers.
- Uses HD roofers & construction standard in formatting estimates.
- Invoices emergency services as directed.
- Must always conduct oneself professionally and with courtesy.
- Must be proactive conveying information and be immediately responsive to requests for information.
- Apply industry TPA Program standards and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles, and practices
- Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.
- Attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding HD roofing and other people's personal information.
Responsibilities:
- Create accurate Xactimate Estimate
- Must have some working knowledge of applicable building codes.
- Required to use the HD roofing and Construction naming convention for estimates, revised estimates, proposals, change orders, etc.
- Identify and present solutions when additional resources are needed.
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Proficient with investigative and independently manages own work.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Participate in continuing education to advance career and ensure compliance with most up to date regulations.
- Assist in the development and continuing improvement efforts to establish HD Roofing and Construction as World Class in the industry.
- Comply with company and department policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
Qualifications
- 2 years of claims experience under the construction or roofing field
- English literacy and fluency
- Understanding of MSDS Data sheets, and applicability to jobs
- Must use the HD Roofing Estimate Format Standards for Xactimate estimates, proposals, etc.
- Extensive Customer Service experience
- Advanced Microsoft offices skills.
- Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent telephone skills.
- Ability to work well with others, maintain professional interaction with co-workers and Insurance adjusters.
- Must be computer knowledgeable
Physical Demands
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks.
- The ability to bend, crouch, or stand as necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
