Job Description
- Along with the support of the Board of Directors, establishes the goals, initiatives, and policies of the organization and executes strategies to achieve them.
- Plans and oversees the operation of the organization through the coordination and partnership of the management team.
- Establishes and maintains an effective employee acquisition and retention strategy for people who truly make the world a better place.
- Develops partnerships with state and local community agencies and strengthens community affairs.
- Dispenses advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans, standards, and procedures consistent with established policies.
- Oversees the adequacy and soundness of the organization’s financial structure.
- Secures funding, creates the conditions and oversees the team for fundraising success (vision, materials, grant writing, governmental funding, call-time, training, technology, community relationships etc.)
- Reviews operating results of the organization, compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
- Represents the organization with community partners, shareholders, donors, businesses, politicians, and the public.
- Participates as a thought leader in national, state, and local initiatives and organizations centered around child abuse awareness, child advocacy and abuse prevention.
- Governmental Liaison, or managing a team member for the agency, on the local, state, and federal level.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Prior experience in executive administration.(CEO, Executive Director, VP, Director, or higher level administrator)
- Proven Experience working with a similarly sized organization or larger
- Must Pass a Level II Background Check
- Master’s degree; however, will consider a combination of education and years of experience leading a large team.
- Career experience working with children and families or abused children, or other Social Services experience.
- Prior experience in a non-profit organization.
- Experience working with Board of Directors, to create and implement organizational and operational strategies
