We are on a mission to redefine philanthropy for community colleges and are seeking an innovative Chief Philanthropy Officer and Executive Directorof the Valencia Foundation to lead the charge! 

In this role, you will provide vision, leadership, and guidance across all facets of the Valencia College Foundation, including fundraising, donor stewardship, alumni relations, and strategic planning—all aimed at supporting educational excellence at Valencia College. 

This position functions as an advisor to the President of the College and the Foundation Board of Directors.

  • A letter of interest: Summarize your approach to fundraising strategies, cultivating and building donor relationships, and how you have successfully managed comprehensive campaigns to meet strategic objectives. 
  • A resume or curriculum vitae.

 Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.  Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising strategies to include such things as cultivating donor relationships, soliciting gifts, creating strategic communication and community engagement strategies, managing comprehensive campaigns, and managing/leading a team. 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE).  Experience in higher education and/or in non-profit management.  Prior supervision and management experience.  Experience in leading or working with a volunteer board of community leaders, planning, and setting strategic direction for fundraising initiatives and complying with governmental and IRS regulations.

Salary: $170,000 - $200,000 Per Year
