We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at Center for Weight Loss Surgery. We are a comprehensive patient-focused bariatric (weight loss) surgery practice located in Federal Way, WA, that specializes in Sleeve Gastrectomy, Lap Band, Gastric Bypass, and Duodenal Switch. We also perform cosmetic surgeries including Abdominoplasty and body lift after weight loss. Our goal is to help patients live a happy, healthy, and active life.

This position is at our out-patient clinic located in Federal Way. We also have a satellite office in Kirkland where we go to on alternate Fridays.

Hours: Full time

Mon - Fri: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Job Duties:

- Triage phone calls from patients

- Room patients

- Prescriptions

- Lab orders

- Referrals

- Chart preparation

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting patient information, test results, and treatment plans

- Coordinate with patients for scheduling labs, imaging studies, consultations, nutritional counseling, Pre-op visit, etc.

- Assist MD and ARNP in procedures

- Intake of H&P

- Surgery / procedure scheduling

- Prepare and stock supplies in the exam rooms

- Insurance authorization

Qualifications:

- Medical AssistantCertification from an accredited school

- WA state Medical Assistant Certification

- Current BLS certification

- Prior medical office experience required

- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred

- Knowledge of insurance plans and referral procedures

- Solid organizational and multi-tasking capabilities

- Strong time management skills

- Team Player

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
