Title: Specialist II, Recruitment
Under general supervision, recruits and assists in retaining highly qualified and certified educators for the DeKalb County School District; builds and maintains relationships with many colleges and universities; assists with staffing school vacancies as needed.
Essential Functions:

Responsible for high volume full-cycle recruitment, from identifying hire needs, posting jobs, pre-screening, scheduling interviews, and/or on-boarding
Develops relationships and correspond with prospective applicants, local schools, universities, businesses, and community-based organizations across the state
Recruits educators from various colleges and universities, including registering and attending job fairs; sets up travel arrangements such as car rentals, hotel registration, and flights
Develops local and national recruitment plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas
Speaks at various colleges and universities regarding employment opportunities, resumes, online applications, interview tips, professional dress attire, and other career-related topics to attract candidates to the DeKalb County School System
Maintains recruitment budgets for advertisement, supplies, and other aspects of the recruitment process as well as orders and maintains recruitment supplies
Contributes to year-round recruitment efforts to build a robust, well-qualified, and diverse pipeline of applicants
Coordinates advertising and social media campaigns by ensuring advertisements on District website, Social Media, CareerBuilder, Teach GA, Monster, Education Publications, and other advertising agencies
Assists with and oversees recruitment events, onsite job fairs, and recruitment calendar
Creates and maintains a database of candidates for certified and classified positions
Conducts and leads information session presentations with internal and external stakeholders- help build and maintain workforce development
Prepares and maintains reports relative to recruitment and teacher retention
Responsible for resume pulls, interview packets, and other recruitment needs
Supports the Director of Employment with the management of district special projects
Assists with staffing certified and classified staff vacancies on the elementary, middle, high, and Central Office levels, as well as onboarding on an as-needed basis
Maintains federal per diems for travel
Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in Education, Education Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources or closely related area required. Bachelor's degree in Education, Education Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related area preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years in teaching, professional Human Resources, recruitment, or closely related experience required.
