Purpose and Summary
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for all open record demands, discovery demands, copying digital radio and telephone logs, and assisting the Property Officer as needed.
The Administrative Assistant's duties routinely subject him/her to sensitive and confidential information. Therefore, confidentiality is of absolute importance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for all open record demands, discovery demands, copying digital radio and telephone logs, and assisting the Property Officer as needed.
The Administrative Assistant, when directed by Criminal Investigations supervision, may be called upon to assist in the performance of other duties when excessive workload creates such need.
Any other duties prescribed by the Sheriff or his/her designee.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 5 years' experience in evidence processing and handling within a law enforcement setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient in use of computer applications, including WORD and EXCEL.
Self-motivated with the ability to effectively, efficiently and entirely complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate completely and concisely in both written and verbal form.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to be supervised.
Ability to function in stressful situations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and good working relationships with co-workers and other staff.
Ability to maintain regular and predictable work attendance.

The Administrative assistant is directly supervised by Criminal Investigations supervision
