The Team:
The Hermès Madison Avenue Flagship Boutique opened in 1983 and focuses on providing extraordinary service to clients as a part of the New York City Region. This position will report to the Director of Operations and will primarily work within the Operations and Sales Teams to support the operations of the boutique.
The Opportunity:
The primary responsibilities of the Cash Office Manager are to lead the Selling and Service Assistants in delivering efficient and accurate transactions at the point sale, while providing exceptional customer service for our clients. This position will maintain a strong focus on boutique audits, Cashwrap organization, collaborating with the store team and Corporate Finance team to ensure the boutique is compliant with company policy and procedures, and supporting with POS and Voxpay transactions as needed.
About the Role:
- Coach and manage Selling and Service Assistants to support needs of the store teams
- Work closely with selling teams and colleagues on resolving all POS-related questions
- Complete all cash handling, accounting, and boutique requirements in a secure, accurate, and timely manner
- Ensure the correct cash transaction procedures are adhered to by all boutique staff and management
- Assist management with the operational training of the store team
- Manage Cash Office functions including Brinks deposits, cash remittance, safe audit, change orders and opening POS stations
- Maintain POS standards established by the Company
- Ensure 8300 Forms are submitted and processed in a timely manner
- Process all aged store credits and partner with Corporate Accounting Department for affidavits and mail checks
- Responsible for opening procedures and support closing procedures
- Communicate all policy and procedures updates pertaining to POS and Cash Office procedures with all members of the store team
- Provides support on selling floor processing transactions at POS as needed
- Maintain consistent communication with Store Management and Director of Operations
- Ensure that all technical equipment (cash tills, scanners, POS equipment) are in working order and any issues are reported
- Weekly conduct Portable Electronic Device audits in My Store Control
- Quarterly conduct back up terminal testing for all FD terminals
- Train Selling and Service Assistants in all Cash Office operations and ensure their compliance with standard operating procedures
- Conduct weekly cash audits
- Proactively follow-up on cash discrepancies and communicate with management and Accounting
- Order supplies for the Cash Office
- Review and audit all daily media
- Partner with Store Management and ensure My Store Control system is in compliance
- Create team schedule and assist with the annual review process
- Responsible for completion of charge sends
- Partner with Corporate Accounting Department to provide all chargeback information requested
- Support with other operational duties as needed

- YES: Including, but not limited to, approving exceptional returns, exchanges and allocating resources for Selling and Service Assistant coverage throughout the building.
About You:
- One to three years of experience in Cash Office operations preferably within Retail
- People-management and mentor experience for a team of five or more employees
- Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Even-tempered with ability to continuously multi-task
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexible with schedule changes to accommodate needs of the business
- Ability to lift between 0-25 lbs. without assistance
The range for this position is $79,123 to $131,872 annually. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.
