Cash Application Specialist

Immediate need for a Cash Application Specialist. This candidate should have experience with a have high-volume processing as well as a full-cycle understanding of Accounts Receivable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily review of Lock Box exceptions to correct to ensure checks are ready for that day's import.
• Daily sorting of all incoming checks and ensuring that each entered batch is balanced.
• Daily import of Lock Box payments into each database ensuring that the deposit balances to the totality of the multiple imports.
• Trouble shooting payment issues by reaching out to customers and/or collections staff.
• Daily maintenance of check deposit log to assist Accounting in monthly bank reconciliation.
• Process credit card refunds, payment transfers and one use credit card distribution.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills

• At least 2 years plus of experience in Cash Applications, along with knowledge of lockbox processing

• Strong attention to details and possesses general math skills
• Demonstrates effective communication skills, both orally and written
• Detail oriented with the ability to meet schedules and deadlines
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required
