The Receivable Specialist is responsible for a variety of tasks and analysis, including timely cash collection and posting, preparing weekly and monthly client and internal reporting. This position makes initial determination and recommendation of appropriate resolution of billing-related issues rose by a client and is responsible for providing appropriate resolution for payment questions which balance client service with Company objectives. The Senior Receivable Specialist/Team Lead has front-line interaction with fleet managers at assigned clients as well as with client s accounting staff as necessary.
This position will be assigned to the more complex clients. Additional responsibilities include: distribution of the monthly invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing documents provided, and development of in-depth knowledge of assigned accounts, especially as it relates to payment methods and trends. Knowledge is obtained through analysis of an accounts receivable aging, daily telephone contact with clients as well as with Wheels employees in various operating areas.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the daily collection activities related to all Wheels and its related and affiliated companies, including the application of daily client payments.Initiate client contact and follow-up regarding past due receivables,, aged debit and credit invoices, current billing issues, and cash receipt discrepancies (ex.
overpayments/short payments); distribute weekly and monthly reports as well as filing, and mailing monthly client statements as requested.Develop, maintain, and foster client relationships to not only perform the responsibilities inherent with the position but to also serve as a resource to address client inquiries/issues with the intention of meeting the goal of excellent customer service.Senior Receivable Specialist/Team Lead will be assigned to more complex clientsProvide training, support and mentoring to Receivable SpecialistsResponsible for the development of monthly reporting for Senior Management and other reporting requirementsMaintain a current and accurate client conversation log.Develop analyses for Sales and Account Management related to client payment history or issues.Develop and foster relationships with key internal departments within the Finance department as well as Client Services, Sales, and Vehicle Operations.Distribution of monthly invoices.Responsible for the monthly AR refund reconciliationAssist in the development of monthly days to pay history reportSKILLS/COMPETENCIES Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact with internal and external clients at multiple levels.Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Ability to perform/commit to superior customer service.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database proficiency along with the desire to expand those skills.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE College degree or equivalent or 5 or more years relevant work experience.
