Cash Applications Specialist

We are looking for an individual for a direct hire Cash Applications position in Chicago. You must have experience handling cash payments. This role entails processing and posting electronic payments, credit card processing, cash reconciliation, and researching and resolving discrepancies in cash postings.

Familiarity with an ERP system is highly preferred.

• Salary: $62-$67k

• Target Start Date: February 2024

 Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate process cash receipts and post payments to customer accounts

• Prepare completed cash batches for filing

• Prepare daily reporting data to internal customers

• Adjust account balances for bank fees and other changes

• Perform account reconciliations to determine conflicts

• Reconcile general ledger clearing accounts

• Assist in reconciling current backlog of unapplied cash

• Adhere to the policies of the Company

• Other projects as assigned by Management

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience

• At least one year related experience

• Advanced Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables

• Experience in an ERP system is highly preferred

• Positive Attitude

• Exceptional communication Skills

• Ability to work well with others
