Job description

Overview
As a Carrier Performance Analyst, you will contribute to REI's success by influencing customer experience and supporting a $130MM+ parcel budget for maximum operational efficiency for the omni-channel, direct to consumer fulfillment business. The individual is responsible to ensure seamless day to day operations and efficient management of carriers against established expectations/processes. This will include monitoring carrier selection and execution, addressing performance fluctuations, initiating escalations when needed to effectively meet REI's expectations, and report on relevant KPIs. The position ensures reliable and consistent Carrier Performance for all direct to consumer orders and customer returns. The individual will work collaboratively with our Strategy, IT, Retail Operations, DC Operations, Order Management, and Customer Service teams.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
As a Carrier Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for:
  • Preparing weekly/monthly reports on Carrier related KPI metrics, analyze, identifying outliers and engaging with carriers to identify the cause. Communicating trends, potential problems and solutions clearly to stakeholders.
  • Providing volume forecast to DC and carrier partners during sale periods and peak season to ensure adequate equipment is provided by the carrier to handle daily volume needs.
  • Managing and overseeing transportation services provided by 6+ carriers, ensuring a successful partnership between the carriers and REI, including monthly check-ins and quarterly business reviews.
  • Implementing/deploying data visualization or communication tools (e.g. metrics dashboards, decks, etc) to drive actionable insights and recommendations from analysis that impact a process or team.
  • Providing updated carrier information (rate cards, transit tables, etc) to partner teams for upload to internal systems.
  • Monitoring carrier supplied tracking feeds to ensure successful transmission of information to REI's internal systems ensuring accurate analysis.
  • Providing analysis to support the yearly budget.
  • Supporting RFPs and on-boarding of new carriers and services as needed.
  • Working cross divisionally to ensure the successful launch of a new location.
  • Collaborating cross-divisionally with effective and timely communication.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ Years work experience in a Logistics or Supply Chain Operations environment, including but not limited to fulfillment (parcel), manufacturing, demand planning, or distribution is required.
  • Bachelor's degree, or higher level of education in Supply Chain is preferred.
  • Experienced with Order Management Systems (Sterling and / or Proship Preferred)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft (MS) Excel, required.
  • Intermediate skills and experience with Visual Basic Script and/or SQL, SAP, Manhattan Associates (WM), AS400 i-series, Tableau, MS Power Point is required.
  • Familiarity with contracts and vendor management experience is preferred.
  • Program or Project Management experience is preferred.
  • Certification in LEAN, Six Sigma or APICS is preferred.

Pay Range
$63,300.00 - $101,500.00 per year
