Job Description - Car Wash Site Manager
Be a part of a great team at Wash Fox Car Wash. Wash Fox, LLC is a premier, locally owned, express tunnel Car Wash operator in the Denver Metro area with an intense customer service orientation and unwavering emphasis on teamwork.
Wash Fox has two state-of-the-art Car Washes, with one in Commerce City, Colorado and the other in Thornton, Colorado. These Car Washes utilize fully automated washing and drying equipment and free arch-style vacuums. Cutting edge license plate readers process Unlimited Wash Club members through our automated pay stations. 5,000 square feet of solar panels, a sophisticated water reclaim system and extensive use of energy saving VFDs make our Car Washes some of the most energy efficient in the industry.
We are currently seeking a Site Manager to manage day-to-day all aspects (staffing, training, customer service, cleaning, light preventative maintenance) of our Thornton location. We offer competitive pay plus bonus opportunities.
Requirements:
- High energy and integrity
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of managing a retail store or similar role
- Ability to learn the Car Washing business, which is different than any other retail environment. Must be able to attend to many different tasks and responsibilities within each shift
- Willingness to work side-by-side with employees when cleaning the equipment and the site
- Ability to train young employees and hold them accountable to perform their tasks as stated in our SOPs
- Demonstrable ability to serve as a representative of the company and ambassador for the Wash Fox brand by appearing professionally and engaging courteously and knowledgeably with employees, customers and other members of the Wash Fox community
- Ability and willingness to work weekends and to pay attention (and direct/prepare your team) even when not on site. This is non-negotiable.
- Flexibility in work hours to accommodate company needs, assist the company’s mechanic, as well as address staffing issues and weather anomalies
- Must have the ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds without injuring yourself, and to work in hot, cold, wet and windy weather
- Previous customer service and dispute resolution experience
- Experience working with point of sale systems and membership subscriptions
- A valid driver’s license
- Must be mechanically curious and comfortable learning about “assembly line” washing equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for all employees and customer service issues
- Keeping the employees, customers and equipment safe. Operating safely and without injury or damage claim incidents.
- Training, motivating and holding employees accountable
- Keeping the wash and the grounds clean and presentable
- Selling unlimited wash club memberships
- Resolving customer disputes, including valid and invalid damage claims
- Communicating with customers on a timely basis… when they wash and when the call or email Wash Fox
- Meeting business goals for labor hours and membership sales conversion rates
- Maintaining the appearance of the grounds and facilities, including the office, wash tunnel, vacuum area and pay station areas
- Maintaining the point of sale, membership database
- Identifying problems with the wash equipment, point of sale system, vacuum system so that Wash Fox’s mechanic can take them offline or fixed them ASAP.
- Maintaining and updating the checklists, task lists and procedures lists in the Company's operations software system, as well as training personnel in its use and ensuring that they are using it consistently and properly
- Communicating promptly to ownership all issues, customer complaints, resource needs and opportunities to save costs, operate more safely, engage with customers and grow sales
- Any other job responsibility reasonably requested by ownership
