SUMMARY

Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Capture Manager to act as a member of our Operations Team.

The Capture Manager for the Technology and Professional Services sectors will have a significant role in growing BSNC overall business while developing deep client relationships, collaborating with high performing engagement teams, identifying, and developing new technology service offerings, and delivering superior client service. Support the Sr. Director’s business unit strategic business development initiatives and capture activities.

Bering Straits Native Corporation is an Alaska Native Corporation. The Capture Manager will have extensive access to BSNC CONUS and OCONUS experience and service offerings from 25 plus subsidiaries.

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Development and Capture activities for a Sr. Director Business Unit
  • Develop and execute growth strategy for the DOJ/DHS/HHS account portfolio in collaboration with the Sr. Director. DOD a plus.
  • Lead capture of new and organic growth opportunities, and recompetes.
  • Develop key client relationships with technology leaders (CIO, CTO) and services buyers across government agencies.
  • Develop formal networks with teaming partners and technology thought leaders across the government agency contracting community.
  • Development and implementation of a Pipeline and Capture Plan encompassing Win Strategy, Price to Win
  • Develop a proficient understanding of BSNC's diverse Technology and Professional Service offerings and help shape development of future offerings in line with market demands.
  • Work collaboratively with other functional areas such as recruiting, BD/Proposal and Pricing teams, and contracts to complete capture tasks.
  • Work with Operations Managers, Program Managers, and Executives in promoting BSNC Capture & Bid Expectations.
  • Drive and lead services capture efforts across the DOJ/DHS/HHS business unit/account portfolio.
  • Identify, pursue, and capture growth opportunities based on annual targets.
  • Development and implementation of a Pipeline and Capture Plan encompassing Win Strategy, Price to Win
  • Support proposal writing and proposal development efforts for RFP and RFI responses.
  • Strategic business development activities to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing existing accounts, penetrating new accounts, developing and executing multi-year growth plans.
  • Must have experience leading the capture process, developing a win strategy, and leading a proposal response as the Capture Manager.
  • Prefer candidates with multiple current senior-level relationships across industry and government.
  • Excellent proposal writing skills and willingness to develop and refine proposal content.
  • Must be able to lead team meetings and bring groups of diverse personalities to consensus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within sales cycles and generate business opportunities and manage the opportunity lifecycle from end to end.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

  • 6+ years of professional work experience including 4+ years of capture experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, can be substituted with significant experience.
  • Capture experience includes a focus on selling technology and professional services in two of the following accounts: DOD, DOJ, DHS, or HHS.
  • Demonstrated successful history in marketing and winning new work including capturing small and large, complex, multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Experience working with an ANC in 8(a) and HUBZone programs
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented and able to follow through on commitments.
  • Strong process and planning skills, goal-oriented, task driven, and enjoys being part of high performing team.
  • Proven analytical abilities; ability to draw insight from findings and understand customer’s business issues.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment across multiple concurrent capture efforts.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

  • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Frequent travel is required.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Not currently a requirement but may hire and supervise direct reports in the future based on program size. 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
