Role Overview:
As the Cannabis Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships with Adult Use cannabis stores throughout Maine with both new and established customers.. You will leverage your expertise in cannabis products and sales strategies to drive revenue and increase market share. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all state regulations, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets within the Adult Use cannabis market.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with retail partners across Maine, providing support and guidance to optimize sales performance.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Train retail staff on product knowledge, compliance requirements, and effective sales techniques.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate marketing initiatives, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and facilitate product replenishment to ensure availability and minimize stockouts.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising, pricing, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and foster partnerships.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of cannabis products, industry regulations, and sales practices.
- Proven experience in Cannabis Sales or a related field, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy regulations and compliance requirements.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout the state of Maine.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check per Office of Cannabis Policy guidelines.
Compensation:
- Base salary: $40,000 per year
- Up to 50% commission on sales revenue
- Reimbursement for miles used on personal vehicle for business purposes
- Compensation for wear and tear on personal vehicle
- Paid Time Off after probationary period
