Job Summary
This position willcoordinate, plan, develop, and implement short- and long-term needs for the Cannabis Advisory Council (CAC). This position will act as the primary liaison between the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) and the CAC with members representing industry, state and local government, public health, Tribal Nations and the public. This position will also manage relationships with external stakeholders and coordinatedevelopment of advisory committee materials, scheduling, logistics, andmaintainthe CAC meeting calendar.
This position is located in St. Paul and is expected to report to the office three days per week and may telework two days per week.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To facilitate proper years of service crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
Three years of experience working in education, outreach, or communications.
A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Project Management or a related field may substitute for six months of experience.
Experience communicating with multiple types of stakeholders, including experience communicating and translating technical and regulatory information effectively through plain language.
Experience coordinating and facilitating committees, councils, work groups or events.
The ability to celebrate diversity and a strong commitment to a respectful and inclusive work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing websites and online outreach materials.
Experience facilitating needs assessments, addressing stakeholder needs and identifying gaps.
Experi ence conducting outreach with community stakeholders and providing technical assistance to groups.
Experience directing, leading, planning and managing projects.
Experience facilitating structured meetings with governance bodies.

About the Office of Cannabis Management
Be a part of building the new Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) from the group up and supporting Minnesota's new cannabis industry. The OCM will serve as the primary regulatory agency for the state's hew and expanding cannabis industry, (including the new adult-use market, the Medical Cannabis Program, and existing lower-potency hemp edibles), issue business licenses, provide education and technical support to the new businesses, administer grants to support community reinvestment, and oversee all aspects of Minnesota's cannabis industry.
