Job Summary

This position affords the incumbent to opportunity of working for a team that helps each other when help is needed, team members will offer help when they see a need. We are serious about helping our relatives, but we also have fun doing this when we can.
This position exists to provide grant administrative services for the American Indian team section to contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the unit, thereby enabling grant managers to focus on the fulfillment of liaison duties, providing technical assistance, request for proposal (RFP), grant, and contract responsibilities.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Serve as a subject matter expert regarding administrative aspects of grant and contract process, including compiling, reviewing, and maintaining program records.
- Assist with the organization of substance use disorder/mental health meetings and perform administrative duties before, during and after the meetings.
- Provide miscellaneous administrative support to team members.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience working with grants/contracts supporting a human services program.
Experience must demonstrate:
- Working with RFPs which includes collecting, tracking, and scoring.
- Reviewing supporting contract documents and preparing invoices for review.
- Performing administrative actions that includes scheduling meetings, preparing/maintaining contact lists and, responding to internal and external partners.
- Skilled at using MS Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook along with Adobe Acrobat for creating, reviewing, and editing documents.
- Lived experience in an Urban American Indian community or experience working with American Indian communities providing services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Experience working with local tribes and/or American Indian Organizations and Programs.
- Actively involved in the American Indian communities.
- Knowledge of Behavioral Health programs.
