Position: Call Center Secretary Lead
Job Summary:
- Act as a central point of communication among providers, patients and other team members of our health facility.
- Perform secretarial duties utilizing specific knowledge of medical terminology and all office policies and procedures.
- Answer large volume of calls promptly.
- Screen all calls for urgency and handle all calls with confidence, compassion, and efficiency.
- Schedule appointments for all providers at South Bay OB/GYN.
- Schedule all appointments with accuracy including taking new patient demographics, verifying established patient demographics as well as proper documentation in the appointment note to ensure providers have proper information to give the best care to patients.
- Review and maintain provider’s schedules to ensure they are filled and all appointments are scheduled appropriately.
- Oversees and coordinates the activities in the Call Center department.
- Monitor the performance of the department.
- Maintains and implement all policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Candidates for this position should provide superior level secretarial services to
- Providers, patients, and staff in a professional and supportive manner.
- Candidates should possess and utilize exceptional organizational skills.
- Candidates must be a team player and must be able to multi-task.
- Candidates should possess exceptional interpersonal skills, proper phone etiquette, compassion and patience.
- This position requires all staff to work closely and professionally with one another.
- This position also requires the secretarial staff to handle all provider requirements daily.
- 2 years medical secretarial experience is required
- Higher education (if relevant to the position) will be considered towards base salary but is not mandatory.
