Summary :
Fromer Eye Centers is seeking a Call Center Representative to join the CALL CENTER supporting our busy multi-site practice. This role will be part of the initial contact team for patients interested in our services and be responsible for assisting patients in making appointments, answering basic questions, filtering them to the correct department, persuading a potential new patient to work with us as well as other areas.
Essential Functions:
- Receive inbound calls including transferred calls
- Place outbound calls as instructed by supervisor
- Answer questions about the practice, our services and our physicians
- Assist patients with any issues they experienced and escalate to management appropriately
- Maintain the patient records
- Collect the required information to open a new patient record or update a patient record
- Create appointments for patients and communicate the required information to both the patient and appropriate office
- Other duties as assigned

- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections
- Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced environment
- Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with patients over the phone
- Must be able to demonstrate strong influencing and closing skills
- Ability to learn and navigate new software quickly
- Must be able to manage a multi-line phone system
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma
Preferred Skills
- Previous related experience highly preferred

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Salary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
