Position: Scheduling Coordinator
Reports To: Scheduling Manager, Scheduling Lead
Training: Paid training provided for 1-2 weeks
Bonuses: Performance-based bonuses available
Status: Full Time

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Location: Business office setting at 9900 Westpark Dr, Suite 365, Houston TX, 77063
• Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Physical Demands: Sitting 100%
• Environment: Moderate noise levels; constant interaction with patients and team members
• Skills: Exceptional hand dexterity and typing skills; proficiency with standard software programs

Responsibilities:

• Utilize practice software systems effectively
• Master and employ phone scripts efficiently
• Manage schedules in alignment with appointment scheduling guidelines
• Utilize Open Dental Software for appointment scheduling tasks
• Gather essential information, including insurance details, for appointments
• Accurately notate all calls and relay information effectively
• Conduct confirmation calls and utilize Nexhealth as necessary
• Proactively reschedule missed appointments
• Generate scheduling lists to optimize efficiency
• Verify Medicaid eligibility and adhere to guidelines
• Maintain regular attendance and communication with offices and departments
• Work both independently and collaboratively in team settings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 4 years in customer service; 1 year in medical terminology (preferred); 4 years in computer skills
• Language: English (required) Spanish (preferred)
• Shift Availability: Day Shift
• Location: Must be able to work onsite in Houston, TX 77063

Salary: $12.75-$14.50/hr
