GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Buyer-Material Planner is responsible for executing the procurement plan and not limited to supply and demand planning, vendor management. This role plays a supportive and critical part in ensuring the business' procurement activities are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with business goals and objectives. The ideal candidate should have strong procurement hands-on skill with MRP/ERP knowledge.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Purchase Order Management
- Understanding of MRP planning and support demand planning based on forecast.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with established procurement policies and procedures.
- Track and manage purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.
- Collaborate with supply chain team to stay on material movements.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistic to improve order delivery goals or past dues
- Escalate sourcing and supply challenges to category sourcing.
- Execute solutions to back order and critical items.
- Support Accounting to validate Procure-to Pay
- Performance Analysis
- Support Sourcing with cost to optimize procurement decisions.
- Implement cost-saving to ensure Dept objective meets.
- Inventory Management
- Support inventory management teams to maintain appropriate stock levels
- Minimize excess inventory and ensure efficient use of storage space, maintain proper inventory turnover rate
- Rick Management
- Able to identify and mitigate potential risks in the procurement process, such as supply chain disruptions or vendor instability.
- Quality Assurance
- Work closely with quality and supplier to ensure the quality and integrity of procured goods or services.
- Follow Quality Guidance and control measurements to resolve quality-related issues
- Vendor Relationship Management
- Foster and maintain positive relationship with all suppliers
- Collaborate with vendors to drive continuous improvement in pricing, quality and delivery performance
- Facilitate vendor scorecard and understand the scorecard metric.
- Conduct scheduled calls or meeting with vendor to secure material availability
- MRP Planning Management
- Maintain item master to obtain planning data integrity.
- Being a super-user of Planning System
- Monitor exception planned order
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

- Understand elements of purchase terms and conditions
- Perform analytical skills for reporting and being able to interpret analytics
- Proficient skills in reading, writing, and speaking in English; bilingual skills(English/Madarin/Spanish) a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards (if applicable).
- Results-driven and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with excellent relationship-building abilities
- Continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to staying updated on industry best practices.
- Effective planning & organizing skills; ability to handle multiple task/duties.
- Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- APICS training and/or certification desirable.
SELECTION GUIDELINES
The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited college/university; or
- 3-5 years or more years of work experience in a fast-paced work environment; or
- Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.
- Previous offshore, sourcing desirable
- Excellent administrative skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities during the course of work:
- Communicates orally with management, employees, co-workers, vendors, suppliers, governmental compliance agencies, and the general public by telephone or in person, in one-on-one or group settings.

- Lifting limitations for this position: 25-30 lbs. May have to manipulate heavier containers.
- Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus as needed.
- Requires incumbent to sit and operate computer for extended periods of time during course of work day, and the ability to proficiently use the computer key-board for typing.
- Noise level for this work environment is typically low to moderate. Some work areas require hearing protection for an 8-hour work day.
- Periods of odoriferous environment.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Personal Protective Equipment provided as necessary.
